BE A HEALED HEALER
02/03/24 08:36
Adam is undone. Jesus Christ has made us one. This is our reality. The presence of God is in us and with us because Jesus has made us one with Himself and hence one with God. Jesus and His cross have ‘made the two one’. This is what it means by atonement and Jesus is our atonement. But our gift is not just being near or with Jesus. Jesus said that by the Spirit He would be with us and in us. You are incarnated with Jesus, Father and Holy Spirit because Jesus has made it so. What does this mean? It means the Presence is in us.
NOT DEPENDENT ON MANIFESTATIONS
Leanne Payne had a notable healing ministry. Drawing on her own experience she writes, “Often the persons with the most dramatic conversions or healings will be the very souls who have the most difficult time figuring out that the Presence of God differs from sensations they had in their experience of Him. Such persons, caught in the subjective trap of attempting to “realize” God in sensory experience, will find themselves looking inward.” (1) Or waiting for the presence. Or living in an addiction to this kind of presence.
GOD IN YOU
But Christ is in you and with you despite manifestations. It’s better to be addicted to the Christ already in you, than to sensations and manifestations as beneficial as these can be.
NEED GRACE AND TRUTH
Because of Christ’s grace, we can assist in healing souls and limbs when largely unhealed ourselves. A healed life means that we are increasingly healed by the whole and holy presence of the trinity in us – which enhances us as agents of Christ. The reality of Christ in us is peace, assurance of God’s love and forgiveness, absence of guilt and the ability to regard others with grace, forgiveness and love.
CHRIST IN YOU
‘Christ our life’ affords healing and health to marriage, family, society and the Earth. We can, due to the constant Healing Presence woven into us, lead a contented and joyful life in spite of wounds and loss. But Jesus not only heals our wounds. He imparts His infinite life to make us spirit and life. Life is not pedestrian for those living the eucharist. The ordinary is always alive with the expression of Christ in us – which make our living better than ordinary and something to rejoice in.
